Meet Our Team
Originally from Indiana, Donna earned her BS in 1982 from Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis. She has worked in a variety of settings, including long-term care, acute care and psychiatric services; she gained extensive management experience during this time. She moved to Citrus County and founded Rehab Partners in Hernando County in 1992. While managing Rehab Partners, Donna was also a founding partner of TLC Rehab in 1995. She was the Rehabilitation Director at Citrus Orthopaedic and Joint Institute (COJI) for 6 years and as the Rehab Supervisor for Citrus Memorial Health System at COJI for 5 years. After parting from CMHS, she relocated Rehab Partners to Crystal River and opened the current location on November 16, 2015. Donna is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and has served Citrus County in many ways as a volunteer, including a term as President of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as volunteering with the American Heart Association, Rotary Club, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Citrus Memorial Health System Foundation. She enjoys working outside in her garden and spending time with her grandchildren.
After moving frequently through her childhood, Meredith attended college in Pennsylvania, earning her BA in Psychobiology in 1991 and her MS in Physical Therapy in 1993, both from Arcadia University. She relocated to Florida in 1994 and began working in Citrus County in 1997. In 1998 she opened a private practice, The Achievement Center of Citrus County, which she ran successfully until 2007, when she took some time off to spend with her family. Meredith has extensive experience in outpatient orthopedics, as well as in home care and aquatic therapy. She has a particular interest in women’s health issues and has been trained in pelvic floor therapy. Meredith is a former state-licensed wildlife rehabilitator and an instrument-rated private pilot who lives in Citrus County with her 2 children. She enjoys being entertained by an always-changing cast of cats, dogs, goats, chickens and other assorted critters.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Tony graduated in 1997 from the University of Higher Education in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Initially, he worked in an outpatient sports medicine clinic. After moving to Florida in 1998, he worked at Citrus Memorial Hospital for more than 6 years, performing inpatient, outpatient, wound care and home care therapy. He was a member of the “Class Act” committee, was a PT Supervisor and a certified clinical instructor. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College in 2012. He also worked at Gulf Coast Spine Institute for nearly 10 years. He currently lives in Citrus County with his wife and one son. He enjoys traveling and being outdoors.
Born and raised in Harford County, Maryland, Kyla moved to Citrus County with
her family in September 2014. She graduated with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in
1990 from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and has loved being a physical
therapist ever since! Kyla has focused her career on rehab and geriatrics and
has extensive experience in Sub Acute Rehab and Home Health. Kyla was the rehab
supervisor of a 17 bed Sub Acute Rehab unit in Maryland, and has experience as a
student Clinical Instructor and CPR Instructor. Since moving to Florida, she
also works for nursing homes in Citrus and Hernando county, as well as
occasionally sees local home health patients. Kyla lives in Homosassa with her
husband of 27 years and has 2 beautiful children, Brittney and Ryan. She loves
any opportunity to spend time with her family and especially enjoys boating,
traveling and catching an Orioles game!
Julie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Florida International University in 1984. Upon graduation, she worked at Baptist Hospital of Miami (Baptist Health System) in acute care, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation. She has lived in Florida for most of her life and moved to Citrus County in early 2001. She worked in home health care for several years and then joined Rehab Partners in Fall of 2018. Julie’s main areas of clinical interest are orthopedics, Parkinson’s, amputee care, and wound care. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, photography, cooking, and refreshing her piano skills. She is a Rays fan and likes all things Disney/Pixar.
Tom is a 1995 graduate of Florida A&M University with a BS in physical therapy. His first degree is from Florida State University in 1981 in physical education. He has worked in Skilled Nursing and Home Health for the majority of his career. He loves the challenge and blessings of being an outpatient Physical Therapist. He loves all patient populations, but has extensive training and expertise working with balance, vertigo and dizziness. He is a husband to Betsey for 37 years. They have 4 grown daughters, 3 sons-in-law and 6 grandchildren (currently).
Victoria earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2001 and her Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. She has over two decades of experience in Home Health, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing Rehab, Hippotherapy and Outpatient Orthopedics. Victoria is currently a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Citrus County Sheriff’s Possee. Victoria’s background in competitive sports includes: volleyball, running rack, rodeo’s, quarter horse shows and she is currently showing her Anatolian Shepherd dogs in AKC confirmation shows owner/handled. She is a native Floridian and is a member of the Crystal River Church of God.
Amelia earned her BS/Masters in Equestrian Studies from Salem College, WV. She received her BFA in Fine Arts University of FL, Gainesville, FL; AS Physical Therapist Assistant from Pensacola College (1998), Pensacola, FL; and Massage Therapist Florida College of Natural Health, Orlando, FL.
Jane has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 25 years, a massage therapist for 7 years and a personal trainer for 5 years. She went to school at Essex in New Jersey. Jane has been a industrial therapist for 10 years of the 25 years of PT. She’s been married for 31 years to her husband Tim who is a sound engineer. Jane has 3 dogs and rescue dogs. Her hobbies are camping, kayaking and back packing.
Paula hails from Nova Scotia, Canada. She moved to Crystal River in 1990 where she began her college education. She graduated from CFCC in 1997 with her Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant and went on to earn her BS in Health Science from Touro University International, CA. She attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (2005-2010) where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Paula has 20 years of experience in her physical therapy career, including acute care, home health and outpatient orthopedics/neurology. She loves to treat patients and does it with humor and a positive approach. Paula resides in Citrus County with her husband, Harley, and 2 furbabies. Paula is ready to meet and treat you with care and a big smile, to get you back to your best functional ability.
Missy was born in Brooksville, FL and raised in Citrus County. She graduated from Central Florida Community College in 2000 with an Associate of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Her experience in her therapy career includes outpatient, skilled nursing facility and home health. In her spare time, Missy enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and participating in karate and kickboxing. She is a true believer that a body in motion stays in motion.
Rose was born and raised in Isabela, Puerto Rico, where her family still lives. She moved to Florida in 2012 from Boston, MA. In Tampa, FL she worked for Homeland Security for 3 1/2 years before embarking on her Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) journey, she graduated Cum Laude from Taylor College in Belleview, FL with an Associates of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2018. Prior to joining Rehab Partners she worked in a skilled nursing and rehab facility, but outpatient physical therapy is her preferred field of practice. Rose loves seeing progress in her patients and thinks it is the greatest feeling. At home she enjoys time with her family and two dogs.
Christine grew up in Crystal River where she currently lives with her husband and three kids. She received her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration in 2009. Later, she graduated from the College of Central Florida as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2015. Most of Christine’s experience is in outpatient and is what she enjoys the most. She loves helping people to feel and function better, which is what led her to this career. All of her spare time is spent with her family and friends.
Native to Citrus County, Brian graduated from College of Central Florida as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2011 and has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting for more than 5 years. His professional interest is in sports rehab with adolescents. Brian also earned a Computer Engineering Degree in 2004. His early career consisted of 10 years in the hospitality industry and 5 years in construction trades. When not at work, he spends time on the water fishing and diving. He also enjoys cooking BBQ. He currently resides with his wife in Marion County.
Ashley moved to Citrus County with her parents when she was 10 years old from Bangor, ME. She graduated from the College of Central Florida in 2010. She loves being a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), and helping people achieve their goals. Ashley worked in multiple therapy settings, and outpatient rehab is her favorite. She enjoys traveling and going to Disney on the weekends!
Originally from New Haven, CT, Deb moved to Gainesville, FL in 1976. She worked at Shands @ Alachua General Hospital for 24 years; during that time, she decided she needed a change. She attended Santa Fe Community College, taking prerequisites for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. She graduated from Central Florida Community College, in Ocala, FL in 2001 with her Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has 15 years of experience in her career as a COTA/L, including acute care, home health, skilled nursing facility, and outpatient orthopedics. She loves treating patients and feels that it is rewarding to make a difference in someone’s life. When she is not commuting back and forth to work, she enjoys reading, working in the yard, and shopping. She is a Lion, a member of the Farmers Aid and Benefit Association, Gainesville Black Hat Diva, Gainesville Red Hatter and is a financial secretary for her church. She is a proud mother of 2 young men and grandmother of 3.
Kristina moved to citrus county in 2020. She was born and raised in NE Ohio where she graduated from Kent Statue University (in 2015) with her Occupational Therapy Assistant, Associate of Science Degree. Kristina has worked in multiple settings throughout her career. Occupational Therapy is a career that is certain to contribute much to society and bring enormous self-fulfillment. It’s a profession that requires sensitivity, understanding, and compassion, all of the characteristics that she values tremendously. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
Shasta was born and raised in Florida. She graduated in 2012 with her Associates of Science Degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Kieser University in Tampa. She worked at Citrus Orthothopaedic and Joint Institute (COJI) for 3 years. For the past 3 years she has worked for Healthsouth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Brooksville and for Fusion Home Healthcare. She loves meeting new people and helping them develop their strengths to overcome their weakness. She is a volunteer in the youth ministry at church. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 teenage sons, and traveling.
Shelly is a native of Citrus County, FL. Her early health care experience consisted of working for 15 years as a Certified Nurses Assistant. For the last 7 of those years, Shelly held the position of Team Leader. For the past 16 years, she has worked as an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager. She still lives in Citrus County; she is married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
From Lacrosse, Wisconsin, Kristy moved to Florida at a very young age. She has worked in several fun and rewarding capacities through the years from medical office staff to philanthropy, planning large events and raising funds for a non profit organization, to marketing and public relations at Citrus Memorial Hospital for over 18 years. Kristy joined the Rehab Partners Therapy team in January 2017. She was a Board Member of the FPRA (Florida Public Relations Association) as their Treasurer and the Director of Programming (2016-2017), and she is a Leadership Citrus 2016 graduate, best class ever! In her spare time Kristy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fishing, boating and going to the beach.
PJ transplanted to Citrus County from Indiana in 1985. In 1989 she started her medical career as a certified surgical technician and continued her education earning certification as an x-ray technician. She also has experience as a medical assistant as well as in materials management and orthopedic clinic management. She took a few years off to travel and enjoy her family and to explore her passion for cooking, boating, fishing, organic gardening and spending time with her 6 grandchildren.
Linda is a native Floridian who moved to Citrus County in 1989 from Ft. Lauderdale. She has worked in the medical field since 1988 in various capacities; 21 years as a Medical Assistant with 7 of those years working in Orthopaedics. Linda is married with 2 step children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, scrapbooking and raising cattle with her husband on their farm.
